The staff were very helpful with advice on places to eat and visit. They also accommodated our early arrival and stored luggage on our last day.
Nice hotel in perfect place! Although it is the centre you can rejoice at quitness. All windows of our spacious room were to cosy inner yard and we kept them open all time.
Good postion near subway station, silent, clean, plenty of space in rooms (and lots of power plugs), comfy beds.
Extreemly helpful staff. I asked for a suttle service with my booking, and they did it immediately. Very clean and pleasant decoration. Cable internet in the room working very good. Quiet and confortable room.
The location of the hotel was excellent, 5 minute walk from the metro and the tram so within easy reach of all the sights. The staff were invariably friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. The room was quiet and spotlessly clean if not very large. We stayed for 7 nights on a city break and would recommend it.
First city hotel ever where I have woken up with bird singing and without any traffic noise.
We had a triple room which was very spacious and the view from our window of the courtyard was enchanting.
The external appearance and surrounding buildings made us think we had chosen a bad location, but once inside our opinion of our choice of accommodation changed immediately.
The service was very good, the breakfast selection was excellent, and the staff went out of their way to assist. The location was very central and easy to find your way around. The interior of the building was very clean and not at all like the outside surroundings, it was like finding a jewel . The rooms were clean and a bonus with computer access. If visiting Budapest again, which we hope to do, I would have no qualms in staying at the Hotel Pest what so ever, and I would certainly recommend the hotel to any of our friend in Ontario, where we reside.
This is not a complaint, only a sugestion, it would be nice if there was the capability of being able to make a cup of tea or coffee in your room as in quite a few hotels supply today.
THe rooms were perfect, Breakfast was very good. Reception service was to the point. Hotel was inside very well renovated. In the middle of the city.
Bar closes early in the evening at about 22.00 h.
Comfort, cleanliness and very helpful staff. Although right in the centre of the city it is a very quiet, peaceful place to stay.
The breakfast buffet was disappointing.
As many of the other reviews have said, it's a great place. I chose it because of the reviews. I would definitely go back. It's in a good location in Budapest, and there are so many places you can walk to, from Hotel Pest. I didn't use the metro in a whole week.
A few minor points. The wifi in the hotel is not so good in the rooms - non-existant in mine. They close the hotel door at 1AM. They have a buzzer, so you can get in, but the guy looks like his night has been disturbed.
This hotel is a gem. It has combined beautifully modern elegance and comfort with the charm of a historic building. It is very central - we could not walk in any direction without coming upon significant buildings within minutes of leaving the hotel. The concierge was always helpful and patient.
The hotel was very central, 2 minutes from Andrassy Utca and the Opera. The rooms was very large and I had my own small roofterasse. It was modern, clean and very quiet. I especially liked the breakfastroom:-)
Clean, spacious and comfortable room and bathroom and great breakfast.
The location in the old part of Pest is wonderful - a quiet, reasonably priced hotel and quiet area off of the main streets and close to the opera, the Duna, the basilica, the Jewish area, shops, dining, etc. Henrik was extremely friendly and helpful at the desk.
Henrik was excellent at the desk, but we felt that some of the other staff lacked the amiability and communication skills that he possesses.
